Phoenix, AZ (November 14th, 2017) – Our Children is the first release from Captain Squeegee’s new EP, ‘Harmony Cure’. The music video is a cross between 90’s throwback ‘hip-hop’ videos, future-raves, and birthday parties featuring alien go-go dancers, a squad of child actors, skaters, and a DeLorean.

Squeegee has once again achieved extreme psychedelic visuals to accompany their funk blend of indie prog-rock and five-piece horn section. Everything from glow paint and piñatas to pyramids, projections, and a whole lot of slime.  Inspired by the lyrics of the song, the video captures the positive yet uneasy message of passing on a twisted and turmoiled world to a future generation.

This project is the collaboration between Cory Davis of YellowBox Films and Captain Squeegee lead singer Danny Torgersen.

ABOUT CAPTAIN SQUEEGEE:

The enigmatic Captain Squeegee has landed, brazenly pushing the boundaries of indie rock with their eccentric show and style.  Referenced to bands such as RX Bandits and Thank You Scientist, Captain Squeegee has dramatically expanded their sound resulting in “a heady brand of neo-psychedelic prog… [like] a van full of jazz performance majors raised on ska would play it” (Ed Masley, AZCentral). Their horn-driven instrumentation, metaphysical lyrics, and intense multi-media performances, has hailed them “one of the toughest acts in town to follow” and “prepared to headline Coachella, tomorrow” (Jeff Moses, Modern Times Mag).

With three studio albums under their belt, they continue to churn out new music while opening for national acts such as Thank You Scientist, The Dear Hunter, Ozomatli, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Parliament Funkadelic, Foxy Shazaam, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Widespread Panic, and Beck.

Following the release of “Our Children” will be the unveiling of a new beer as a collaboration between Captain Squeegee and SunUp Brewery called ‘Captain Squeegee’s Harmony Cure’.  Partnering with popular culinary restaurant chain Cornish Pasty, they will be available on tap at each of their locations.

Captain Squeegee’s upcoming album Harmony Cure will be released in November 2017.
