Ben Anderson Releases Sophomore EP ‘YouTopia’

Ben Anderson releases his sophomore EP ‘YouTopia’ through our good friends at Chromodyne.  If you haven’t checked out the first two singles you can check out their music videos here and here.  ‘YouTopia’ is now available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, and more!  Press release below.     —Press Release— Ben Anderson to Release Sophomore EP YouTopia TO BE RELEASED ON NOVEMBER 14TH – Singer-songwriter Ben Anderson is thrilled to release his second EP YouTopia on Chromodyne.  YouTopia is a concept EP about the dystopia within one’s self and how it manifests conflict in today’s society. Like his previous studio effort Where the Lights Go?, Anderson continues on the path of being a genre bending crooner, blending rock, soul, and electronic music. Three songs off the EP have been released as singles with accompanying music videos.  The videos all follow the same plot, telling the story of a man who is forced to conform in the corporate world, just to reject the system and descend into madness. The album was recorded at Electric Lotus Music and produced by studio owner Olivier Zahm.  Zahm is also the owner of Anderson’s record label Chromodyne. Inspired by eclectic singer-songwriters like David Bowie, Frank Ocean, and Stevie Wonder; Ben Anderson writes and performs his music using balance as his mantra. Songwriters like Bowie are powerful storytellers that create art with the appropriate combination of structure and freeform. They may venture into other genres of music, but they still manage to sound like themselves. In 2016, Anderson released his debut EP Where the Lights Go? to critical acclaim. It made the Phoenix New Times’ end-of-the-year...
