Bear Ghost drops a present for Christmas Day with a brand new single ‘Big Town Banky Blaine’s Rockabilly BBQ’.
Phoenix, AZ – Adventure Rock band Bear Ghost releases their new single ‘Big Town Banky Blaine’s Rockabilly BBQ’. Mixed by Jeremy Parker (Evanescence, Mudvayne) and mastered by Dan Shike (Meat Puppets, Mayday Parade), this marks the second release from their upcoming 2021 album, “Jiminy”.
Big Town Banky Blaine’s Rockabilly Barbecue tells the story of an eatery patroned by the wealthy upper class who pay to watch the less fortunate engage in fights to the death. Winner gets paid and gets to survive until the next fight. Loser gets cooked and eaten.
The subtext outlines the struggles of the working class who are constantly competing for that big raise, that next promotion, a new job. Trying to prove themselves as the best for a reward that is comparably insignificant to the elite at the top.
In the spirit of The Dreadnoughts, Diablo Swing Orchestra and The Aquabats this raucous story telling song outlines the struggles of the working class who are comparably insignificant to the elite at the top.
