Turn Zero releases cover ‘Drown’

Turn Zero releases cover ‘Drown’

Alt Rock band Turn Zero releases a raw acoustic take on ‘Drown’ from Bring Me The Horizon.  Featuring Sam from Sore Eyes. Listen here: https://fanlink.to/turnzero-drown   About Turn Zero: Founded by Emily Grieve and John Curtis Sanchez, Turn Zero is a mix between Tonight Alive and early Paramore. Lead singer Emily Grieve was a ranked Pokemon player, competing in official tournaments throughout the U.S. and Canada.  In both the TCG (Trading Card Game) and video game she has won in several cities and states, as well as placing in Worlds. In fact, the band name has a little bit of history behind it. Turn Zero refers to competitive card games when time is called to end the match and the player that is in the middle of their turn is considered “turn zero”.  The significance lies in the fact that the members have been each pursuing music in different ways over the years and when they all came together it just clicked. It was the beginning of the end of a chapter, and they’re one step closer to winning, or should I say, achieving their dreams.    ...

Gabe Kubanda and Sydney Sprague perform on ASU Kerr’s Beams

We’re honored to have our own Gabe Kubanda and Sydney Sprague perform on ASU Kerr’s Beams, a live online music series featured by the ASU Kerr Cultural Center. Here are the details:     Sydney Sprague (7/9/20 @ 7 PM) https://www.facebook.com/events/678639169393206/ https://facebook.com/asukerr/live   About Sydney: A mismatched group of millennials huddle around a tall, brunette woman hugging an acoustic guitar and standing behind a microphone. More than half of them are wearing black baseball tees emblazoned with white letters that simply states “UNCOMFORTABLE.” These are dedicated Sydney Sprague fans, and they are quietly singing along to every single word of her latest single, “F O M O”, while catching each others eyes in childlike excitement as they mouth along to their favorite lyrics. Originally hailing from Austin, 20-something Sydney Sprague, now a Phoenix transplant, has been performing across the Southwest for over 9 years. Her songwriting is perceptive, alarmingly vulnerable, and mature beyond her years. Phoenix New Times complimented her voice, stating it was “quite close to Stevie Nicks [in] her prime.” She blends acoustic guitar with thoughtful, catchy hooks in her original works, and twists cover songs to fit her unique pop/Americana style. Her latest release, 2019’s “Bad Patchwork”, was released on 80/20 Records on July 15, 2019. It’s a mixed bag of recordings she made in 2018, and is inspired by massive amounts of uncertainty, awkward relationships, wasted time, and the fear of missing out. Her songs are refreshingly relatable and full of angst in the best possible way Gabe Kubanda (7/23/20 @ 7 PM) https://www.facebook.com/events/573347266696940/ https://facebook.com/asukerr/live About Gabe: Gabe Kubanda is an independent solo artist and...
