This is not your “grab me a cup of coffee” type of position, you will have direct access to the founder of the company and be involved in various aspects of running a record label.  As an intern not only will you get to work closely with the artists, but you’ll also help promote the label itself.

This is an unpaid internship however only required to work 3-4 hours per week with virtual group meetings every two weeks and virtual monthly one-on-one meeting check-ins.

Description

This position is focused on coordinating with artists and the rest of the 80/20 Records team as well as collaborating on specific projects and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Research into press, radio, companies, organizations, managers, venues, and others
  • Develop marketing campaigns for 80/20 Records and artists it represents
  • Coordination with artists
  • Update and organize information
  • Outreach to press, radio, companies, organizations, managers, venues, and others

Requirements

Content Creator

Description

This position focuses on utilizing graphic design and video editing skill sets and applying them to events, announcements, and campaigns within the company as well as our artists.

Responsibilities

  • Edit images and/or videos
  • Create graphic images and covers for social media and other promotion

Requirements

  • Understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or equivalent
  • Understanding of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Communicates professionally
  • Complete projects on deadlines
  • Able to be flexible on timetables and project changes
  • Open to all Majors and Classes

Learning objectives

  • How to implement creative skills in graphic design and/or video editing in a professional workspace
  • How to incorporate or modify existing content into multiple uses

Social Media

Description

This position is focused on scheduling posts, developing social media strategy, nurturing and growing existing platforms, and experimenting with new platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling posts on multiple social media platforms
  • Taking pictures and videos at meetings, events, and other occasions
  • Develop and execute social media marketing campaigns

Requirements

  • Understanding on how to make posts on social media
  • Use facebook, twitter, instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Basic computer skills
  • Communicates professionally
  • Basic graphic design a plus
  • Can consistently schedule posts at least a week in advance
  • Able to be flexible on timetables and project changes
  • Open to all Majors and Classes

Content Curator

Description

This position focuses on organizing and curating content within the company for multiple uses including social media and playlisting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, update, and organize multiple forms of content (images, audio, and video)
  • Curate music playlists with other team members
  • Coordinate with other team members

Requirements

  • Pulse on current music trends a plus
  • Open to all Majors and Classes
